Rules of the game

You'll find the rules suggested here in your living room.

Your salon offers quality equipment in perfect condition, thanks to careful maintenance and the care taken by our customers. It provides a great billiards experience: GORINA BILLAR STAR fast cushion, quality balls and cues.

  • Setting up the game
    • The table is equipped with 16 balls: 7 solids (1 to 7), 7 stripes (9 to 15) and the black 8 ball. The balls are arranged in a triangle at the end of the table, respecting these constraints:
      • A striped ball and a solid ball must each be placed in a corner of the base of the triangle.
      • The 8-ball in the centre
      • The other balls are placed randomly, taking care not to group all the striped or full balls together.
    • The tip of the triangle (apex) is placed on the white point of the mat. The frame can then be removed.
  • Sequence of events
    • The team that breaks is determined by drawing lots or by going back and forth. If a ball is pocketed, the team must return the balls in that category (full or striped).
    • If a player enters one or more of his balls during his turn, he continues his turn and plays again. If the player does not enter any balls, the turn passes to the opponent.

 

  • Fouls and penalties
    • Pocket the cue ball (the shooting ball)
    • Sending a ball off the table
    • Hit the opposing balls first
    • Pocket only one of your opponent's balls
    • Touch the black ball first
  • The foul allows the opponent to place the cue ball freely on the table for his next shot.
  • End of game
    • The game ends when a player or team has put all their balls and finally the 8-ball (the black one) into a pocket.
    • The 8-ball can be pocketed directly: there is no need to make a cushion.
    • If the 8-ball is pocketed by mistake, the player loses the end.
